Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu is a voice actress and director. She's also an actress. She is an attractive, skilled actress that has inspired many Asian actors to succeed in Hollywood. An array of highly successful initial performances in popular TV series led to her becoming famous for joining the cast on Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was translated into roles that were filmed on the large screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and other films. The actress also gave a superb performance as Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. During this time she also acted as the lead in a few flops at the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter. In later years, she worked as an actor in voice for animated movies, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a small role that didn't have any impact. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas which included Liu in multiple parts, helped to establish her role as an actress. Liu carefully selects roles so that she doesn't get stereotyped within an industry which is extremely competitive. She has acknowledged her Chinese heritage, but hasn't let it limit her artistically.
