Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian and TV personality popular as the presenter on The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Sheryl Underwood was born and raised in Arkansas and was raised at Little Rock, Atwater, and Atwater. Sheryl is the product of an extremely troubled family. She grew up taking care of her sibling Frankie. Frankie was a patient of polio. While growing up, Sheryl had many problems with her mom. Sheryl claims that in one instance her mother stabbed her father for being too close with her. Sheryl, after graduating college was drafted into the military. Her passion for the military was comedy. She was the sole female that made it to the competition in 1989 Miller Lite Comedy Search. Her TV career began in 1992 when she was a guest participant on the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. The show was in the show Oh Drama! as the host in 2000. She has appeared as host of The Talk since 2011. In addition she has also appeared in a variety of fictional characters on series including Bulworth Nikki and Beauty Shop.
