Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A superstar who crossed over completely from the world of country music to pop culture, becoming the pop icon of the future that will be around forever, and will conquer every corner of the globe. Swift removed herself from country music as if she was a second skin and showed she had the finest pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only singer/songwriter who knew how to take the popular zeitgeist on the road. These skills were evident on her earliest hits especially the Neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album 2008's Fearless showed a writer discovering her true identity and in the process finding an audience of mass. Fearless was hugely popular not only in America which is where it's Top Ten singles Love Story as well as You Belong with Me helped it to break six platinum records but also around the world. It performed particularly well in Canada, Australia in Australia and Canada. U.K. Swift could build on her popularity through Speak Now almost two year later. In the following three years, her fame was growing -the albums - Red (2012), Reputation (2014) in addition to 1989 (2014-2015) -- as she moved into a realm of pop where her talents were already well-established. Her popularity grew even after she altered her plan with 2020's pared-down siblings folklore (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
