Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on April 16th, 1996, in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology. The father of her was Argentine with Scottish and English roots. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English heritage. She was the first born of a clan of six children. Four of her siblings are from her previous marriage to Taylor's dad. After being with her parents in Buenos Aires for six years and then moving to Victoria. According to Taylor-Joy, this removal was extremely difficult for her and she was unable to study English to the hope of moving back to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed between Northlands to Hill House. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in the school's productions. At the age of 16 she left the school and pursued a career as an actress full-time. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to become an actress and her dream came true after she was offered a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
